“From the moment I met Almetria, I knew I was in the best hands possible. Her knowledge, compassion, and calming presence made my entire birthing journey nothing short of amazing.
During labor, she was my rock—anticipating my needs before I could even voice them, encouraging me when I needed strength, and creating a peaceful environment that helped me stay grounded and confident. But her care didn’t stop after delivery.
In the days and weeks that followed, she continued to check in, provide invaluable guidance, and support my physical and emotional recovery. She made me feel truly seen, heard, and cared for every step of the way. I can honestly say my birth experience wouldn’t have been the same without her.
She’s more than a doula—she’s a true blessing, and I’m forever grateful for the role she played in welcoming my baby into the world.” -S. Jones
“My doula Almetria was amazing at tending to my every need and making sure I was comfortable. she took on being my doula when I decided last min I wanted one. she has been excellent at making sure my baby got here safely and that my expectations of my child’s birth was met. I appreciate her and will be using her again and again.” -M. Buck
“Going in, I was expecting to be let down due to my experience from the last doula services I went to. But Roots and River Wellness exceeded my expectations, especially Almetria.
She went above and beyond for me. Helping me with details information and resources for items and services I didn’t even know existed. And she still do until this day.
I won’t forget when I just had my daughter and she went out and got my medicine for me. She was a blessing and honestly made this experience much better for me.
I’m grateful that I was blessed with her services.” -J. Payne
“God is the provider in my life so sometimes he aligns people with me just in time ! I never thought that I would have a doula and never knew what one was. A family friend sent me the information to sign up for one with Almetria.
I was a little hesitant for my own personal reasons. However, if I did not sign up I would have been missing out on a blessing from God sent in the form of a person. I was rushed into an emergency c section 07/01/25 and had no one at the hospital with me at the time.
I called my doula to let her know I was in labor and she offered to come and hadn’t even got the chance to eat that day. She stayed almost all night on an empty stomach to make sure everything was ok. She fed me so much education before labor, during, and after labor.
I was in need of things because I didn’t plan on being in labor with my twins so early. She found resources and sent them to me. She even reached out to a resource that turned me down. She made sure they gave me the things I desperately needed. Everything was on time ! Words can’t even explain how much I appreciate my doula Almetria.”-L. Echols
